Numerical and experimental analyzes of forming parameters of low carbon steel

Understanding sheet metal forming presses are important to reduce manufacturing costs. Thus, the best method of finding optimum values processing is by studying effect parameters on behavior formability, friction, and die radius. In this work, deep drawing process a low-carbon steel cup was studied significance two investigated which friction coefficient radius die. The finite element program, ANSYS, used study these load in process. three levels considered 0.08, 0.00, 0.15, shoulder 4, 6, 8 mm. results show that predicted punch coincided well with both experimental practical behaviors confidence exceeding 94%. wrinkling defect happening when using high radius, Rd=8mm although low due increase surface area edge
